Welcome to Go Pro Speakers, an advanced club for Toastmasters who are ‘serious’ about pursuing professional speaking and training.

About us: We are a group of dedicated Toastmasters working together in pursuit of the Toastmasters professional level Accredited Speaker designation (and moving into professional speaking and training) in our individual growth and quest for this achievement.

We meet monthly: (2nd Tuesday) (4th Tuesday) via zoom

Meetings: 6:30PM – 9:00PM (subject to change as we move forward)

Meetings are currently being organized for the second Tuesday of each month at the above location. As we are newly forming, we will be investigating a permanent home for our club in the future.

We will host a longer meeting to allow us to develop our skills and engage our members in the evolution of this new Advanced club. We seek to raise the bar for our membership level of presentation skills and hence, the use of the AS format for auditions.

Accredited Speakers Judges Guide and Ballot are being used for club auditions. Click on links to download. These are the actual guidelines and ballots used for levels of the Toastmasters Accredited Speakers Program. Auditions will be scheduled with acceptance of an application form and the agreement to pay membership dues upon passing audtion (that day by check or e-transfer)

Our members agree in advance to give a minimum of one speech at a club meeting or GPS event each year as a condition of membership. This is a speaking club, not a spectator club... smile.

Meeting format: Go Pro Speakers will have a specific educational session covering aspects of the business in addition to working to hone our speaking skills. We will not have some of the smaller roles in order to maximize time for the above.

Dress Code: Business attire (guide – come dressed to present on stage)

Membership: Membership is open to ‘qualified’ Toastmasters who agree to abide by the Accredited Speakers Code of Conduct and Ethics as well as the standards of Toastmasters International® as set forth in its governing documents. Members must apply and will be asked to audition by presenting in front of a judging panel (made up of at least 3 GPS members) prior to consideration for membership. Judging will be done using the form and guidelines for the Accredited Speakers Program as a guide. Additional membership criteria may be established as we move forward with our charter process. As with other Toastmasters clubs, new members must be voted into the club.

Guidance team: We have created a guidance team (planning) to assist us as we continue to evolve this professional level Toastmasters Club. This team will work out the on-going membership process, policies, procedures and work to guide us. They will also act as the initial audition judges as we invite qualified Toastmasters to join us in this quest.

Club Sponsors: Jonathan Ettie, ACG, ALB and Von Eric Tandoc
Club Mentors: Lana Sweeney, ACG, ALB and Blaine Zuk
